Get ‘in the Zone’ with Blake Griffin and the 2016 Kia Optima November 10th, 2015

NBA all-star and Kia brand ambassador Blake Griffin is back with a new series of commercials to get you ‘in the Zone’ with the all-new 2016 Optima. The new campaign titled, “Next Level,” features the NBA superstar relaxing in ‘the Zone’ as he details the sophistication and perfect features of the best-selling midsize sedan.




For the  2015-2016 NBA Season campaign, Griffin resides in a surreal, cloud universe – ‘the Zone’ – that ordinary people aboard the new 2016 Optima are experiencing for the first time. Griffin, with his signature monotone and deadpan delivery, is both charming and playful as he outlines the features and enhancements of the midsize sedan. While ‘the Zone’ may be a higher state of focus and performance that Griffin so often inhabits, he suggests that it is also a place that drivers of the next-generation Optima can now be transported to. While passengers are fascinated and intrigued, Griffin remains eternally calm and ‘in the Zone.”




Over several NBA seasons, Blake Griffin, with his wry comedic talent, has made a connection with both Optima and NBA fans alike. This year is no exception as Griffin’s performance is both engaging and entertaining. The Los Angeles Clippers star began his partnership with Kia in 2011, following his famous dunk over the Optima, a feat that consequently crowned him the champion of the NBA dunk contest. Ever since that remarkable dunk, Griffin has been linked to the midsize sedan.
