The greatest online music festival, YouTube Music Awards presented by Kia, celebrated some of the most talented and promising emerging artists on YouTube, when YouTube released the exclusive music videos all at once. These new music videos were produced in collaboration with VICE and some of the most innovative directors alive, to provide the best experience for music fans all over the globe. Recently, U.S. News & World Report named K900 (Quoris) and Kia Soul the “Best Cars for Families” in the Luxury Large Car and Hatchback categories. This coming June, the world’s football fans will turn their attention to the South American continent for the 44th Copa América 2015 hosted by Chile. To mark the official commencement of its Platinum Sponsorship, Kia Motors was present at a recent sponsorship agreement signing ceremony. This marks our second consecutive sponsorship of Copa América, after first having served as a ‘Gold Sponsor’ for the 2011 tournament in Argentina.
Kia is releasing the final episode of the REDISCOVERED series featuring Chase Bryant and Michael McDonald from the legendary 70s rock band, The Doobie Brothers. Adding to the excitement of the YouTube Music Awards (YTMA), Kia has released a series of music campaigns that have included The Shhhow with Clean Bandit and the REDISCOVERED series featuring Matthew Koma and MisterWives. In this installation, rising country music star Chase Bryant accepted the challenge to cover “Takin’ It To the Streets” by GRAMMY Award winning band, The Doobie Brothers.
Besides the premiere of SPORTSPACE, another spotlight was shone on the new cee’d GT Line during the 85th Salon International de l’Automobile in Geneva (Geneva International Motor Show). The new cee’d GT Line is equipped with the all-new downsized 1.0-litre T-GDI engine as well as new seven-speed dual-clutch transmission in Europe. The all-new 1.0-litre T-GDI ‘Kappa’ engine was also unveiled for the first time, marking yet another evolution of the Kia engine, which performs at high efficiency with smaller capacity.

The Chicago Auto Show has come to a close but it definitely left behind a big splash in the auto industry. Kia took part in the largest auto show in the U.S. with 15 Kia models including the Trail’ster, the refreshed Rio, the all-new Sorento and the all-new Sedona (Grand Carnival). Kia’s first all-electric zero emissions vehicle for global markets, Soul EV, has been named the Best Eco-Friendly Vehicle at the MotorWeek’s 34th annual Drivers’ Choice Awards. Each year MotorWeek produces a list of winners for different car categories after analyzing industry trends, new products, and technologies, to provide car buyers with a reliable source of information. MotorWeek editors noticed the Soul EV’s roomy interior and cargo space, on top of its best-in-class range, in picking it as the best eco-friendly vehicle.
It’s here. Trail’ster, the electric all-wheel drive concept based on the Kia Soul. At the 2015 Chicago Auto Show, Kia Motors America finally took the wraps off the boldly designed compact CUV. Trail’ster is more efficient and weighs less than the traditional powertrain Soul, and takes the brand’s iconic urban passenger car to the next level with its bold design, smartly integrated e-AWD system, and robust 1.6-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine.
Excitement over the 2015 YouTube Music Awards continues as Kia presents another episode of the REDISCOVERED campaign. After having Matthew Koma cover Smokey Robinson’s “The Tracks of My Tears”, Kia went out in search of other talented young musicians to cover a legendary song from the past, and found American indie pop band MisterWives in New York City. They accepted the challenge to cover the song “Out of Touch” by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame duo Hall & Oates.
Another clue concerning Kia’s newest concept vehicle was recently discovered. The world premiere of a new concept vehicle, the Trail’ster, has given every auto enthusiast a reason to look forward to the Chicago Auto Show this year. This electric all-wheel drive concept model was conceived for city dwellers who dream of outdoor adventures. Indeed, its bold design, fully retractable canvas roof, and smartly integrated rear electric all-wheel drive system is the talk of the town.
The new Kia Soul continues to be recognized for its iconic design and popularity – this time in Moscow, Russia, where the ceremony for the prestigious Golden Klaxon automotive award was held. Golden Klaxon is one of Russia’s top 3 automotive awards and highly influential among car owners. Of more than 130 automobile models taking part in the competition, Kia Soul came out on top in the best compact SUV category.

Today, we have been honored with yet another prestigious iF Design Award for our flagship SUV, all-new Sorento, marking Kia’s seventh iF Design Award. It’s a wrap! Novak Djokovic took home his fifth crown from the Australian Open after an intense final match against Andy Murray. As the major sponsor of Australian Open 2015, Kia enjoyed taking part in the tournament and watching the competition between the world’s best tennis players. Shhh…it’s a surprise! Building on the enthusiasm created by our partnership with the YouTube Music Awards (YTMA), Kia is excited to present the second episode of The Shhhow with Clean Bandit. The Shhhow, a series of music performances that occur outside of traditional venues, is designed to delight music fans with great music created at the spur of the moment. This time, electronic group Clean Bandit from the UK surprised their biggest fans at a warehouse located in East London which was totally transformed into a surreal world for their newest album, ‘New Eyes’.
The North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), is the first chance of the year to catch a glimpse of what’s ahead for the international automotive industry. Amid the excitement sit 25 of Kia’s finest vehicles, including the all-new Sorento, the all-new Sedona (Grand Carnival), the enhanced K900 (Quoris), and the Cadenza. The Kia Soul Red Zone is another highlight of the Kia booth, with its chic black body and 18-inch alloy wheels grabbing everyone’s attention.
To celebrate the Australian Open 2015, Kia is presenting to the world the Kia X-Car, based on Kia’s all-new Sorento premium SUV. The Kia X-Car was inspired by Wolverine who fights the evil Sentinels with his invincible Adamantium claws in the latest X-Men series, X-Men: Days of Future Past.
