From Geneva to New York to Beijing, Kia has been busy this year with appearances at all of the world’s greatest motor shows. This time, we hit Russia! From August 29th to September 7th, Kia is presenting its latest in innovation and style at the 2014 Moscow International Automobile Salon. The MIAS is the hottest motor show in Russia, both in terms of size and the level of attention it attracts. There, Kia will be showcasing the Kia Quoris and Soul EV models, and organizers expect that Kia will attract more than 1 million attendants to the Crocus Expo during the exhibition period.
On August 28, after over 10 years since Kia‘s best-selling SUV first hit the global markets, Korea got the first real look at the third-generation Sorento, which is setting the standard for the ultimate upper-class SUV. The all-new Sorento, which was officially unveiled to the media in Seoul, features more muscular, rounded shoulders at the rear.
So what does “geek chic” really look like? Kia Motors America uses the Soul hamsters to show you that smart is indeed the new sexy. As a fun way to introduce the new 2015 Soul EV, KMA brings back the Soul hamsters in its latest Soul EV TV ad, featuring Maroon 5’s new song, “Animals.” This is part of KMA’s “Fully Charged” campaign for the 2015 Soul EV, set to go on sale later this year in America.
Everything you need to know about the Kia Soul EV, right at your fingertips! Kia’s latest free iPad app for the Kia Soul EV lets users check out all the distinct features of the Soul EV through a digital interface, with interactive photo galleries and several videos.

As part of the Tuning King Korea competition, three automotive technician crews, Dexcrew, Pico Sound, and Chang’s Custom, have been customizing the Kia Soul with specific design directions and specs in mind.
Congratulations to Kia Motors in China! Together with our Chinese joint venture partner, Dongfeng Yueda Kia Motors, we hit 3 million units for cumulative on July 24. This is quite an accomplishment as Kia has hit 3 million unit production in just over 10 years since entering into one of the fastest-growing automobile markets back in 2002.

The GT4 Stinger and 2014 Kia Soul once again proved their car design prowess, especially after the Industrial Designers Society of America awarded Kia with a pair of prestigious design awards. The GT4 Stinger concept and the 2014 Kia Soul earned Silver and Bronze honors, respectively, in the transportation category of the International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA).
Kia not only believes in the power of sports like this past World Cup, but also in the spirit of the arts that can bring people together. And to show our support and appreciation for the arts, we decided to give back to one of our fans in the best way we know, with our flagship sedan, the Kia K900, also known as the Kia Quoris in some markets. We handed over the 2015 K900 to Mr. Zubin Mehta at his home in Los Angeles, California as a sign of appreciation for Mr. Mehta’s love for Kia.
Kia is getting its very own sound. Fittingly, the new Kia trademark sound is called, ‘The Rise of Surprise,’ showing Kia’s commitment to its brand slogan of ‘The Power to Surprise.’ Drivers will hear the trademark sound when they start and stop their vehicles, in addition to various warning alerts. The first vehicles to feature the Kia sound will be the Kia Soul EV, Kia’s first full-electric model for overseas markets, and the all-new Carnival MPV (known as the Sedona in some markets).
The Eat Your Kimchi team is a Korea-based YouTube/blogger duo made up of the quirky couple, Simon and Martina Stawski. Android Auto made its debut at the Google I/O Conference last week, bringing us one step closer to Android being available to you wherever you go. We talked about connected cars and UVO technology just a couple weeks ago, and this represents yet another exciting new development in “smart cars.” The Kia Soul got a chance to take Android Auto for a test drive! (Video below) Android Auto will offer just what its name suggests: easy access to any Android app from the dashboard of your vehicle, so you no longer have to dangerously drive and check your phone at the same time.
