Kia Motors’ 2010 Global End Poverty Campaign October 18th, 2010
Did you know Sunday, October 17, 2010 is International Day for the Eradication of Poverty?
This year marks the fifth year Kia Motors around the globe participate in the 2010 Global End Poverty Campaign that aims to raise funds and awareness to eradicate poverty around the world.
The white wristbands remind us all that 1.7 billion people are living in poverty – living on less than $1 per day and without access to medicines or clean drinking water.
For two weeks, Kia Motors and thousands of employees in China, Slovakia, the US, Korea and 14 other countries are doing their part in helping to make our world a fairer place. By raising awareness and much-needed funds, we can all make a difference.
Below you will find a film with some information about the realities of people living with poverty. If you would like to donate, please contact your local charitable organization involved with The United Nations Millennium Campaign.
