We would like to share three of our Global Ambassadors’ stories with you.

Originally developed as Kia’s first crossover SUV model, the first generation Sorento exploded onto the automotive scene in 2002. Just last week, we finally took the wraps off the next generation Optima. To continue commanding worldwide attention, Kia designers sought to evolve the previous model into an innovative and modern vehicle. The all-new Optima still carries the signature personality of its predecessor, while surprising us with a number of enhancements inside and out. The all-new Optima, Kia’s signature midsize sedan, has finally made its much anticipated debut at the New York International Auto Show 2015. Five years after the introduction of the previous generation Optima, Kia unveiled a completely redesigned and reengineered model with an upgraded look and performance in front of global auto media. As the top-selling Kia vehicle for three consecutive years in the U.S., the Optima has evolved while retaining the sporty identity of its predecessor.
Continuing its winning streak, Kia has been recognized by the prestigious 2015 Red Dot design awards. This year, Kia is honored with two Red Dots for the Soul EV and all-new Sorento in recognition of their outstanding product design and exceptional details. Celebrating its 60th anniversary this year, the Red Dot Awards is one of the most highly-respected international design competitions in the world. Since 2009, a total of 13 Kia models have been honored.
The wait is nearly over! Today, we are presenting the very first look at the all-new Optima. Thoroughly refreshed inside and out from the previous generation, Kia’s best-selling mid-size sedan will come in multiple engine choices and new premium features. The greatest online music festival, YouTube Music Awards presented by Kia, celebrated some of the most talented and promising emerging artists on YouTube, when YouTube released the exclusive music videos all at once. These new music videos were produced in collaboration with VICE and some of the most innovative directors alive, to provide the best experience for music fans all over the globe. Kia Motors’ global best-selling model, the Rio, is back with an enhanced look and features. Debuting at the 2014 Paris Motor Show and 2015 Chicago Auto Show, the Rio sedan and Rio hatchback are now available to global consumers. Rio’s sophisticated design has been refreshed and both the sedan and hatchback models, standouts in the subcompact segment, continue to offer a long list of standard features. This coming June, the world’s football fans will turn their attention to the South American continent for the 44th Copa América 2015 hosted by Chile. To mark the official commencement of its Platinum Sponsorship, Kia Motors was present at a recent sponsorship agreement signing ceremony. Kia is releasing the final episode of the REDISCOVERED series featuring Chase Bryant and Michael McDonald from the legendary 70s rock band, The Doobie Brothers. Adding to the excitement of the YouTube Music Awards (YTMA), Kia has released a series of music campaigns that have included The Shhhow with Clean Bandit and the REDISCOVERED series featuring Matthew Koma and MisterWives. In this installation, rising country music star Chase Bryant accepted the challenge to cover “Takin’ It To the Streets” by GRAMMY Award winning band, The Doobie Brothers.
Besides the premiere of SPORTSPACE, another spotlight was shone on the new cee’d GT Line during the 85th Salon International de l’Automobile in Geneva (Geneva International Motor Show). The new cee’d GT Line is equipped with the all-new downsized 1.0-litre T-GDI engine as well as new seven-speed dual-clutch transmission in Europe. The all-new 1.0-litre T-GDI ‘Kappa’ engine was also unveiled for the first time, marking yet another evolution of the Kia engine, which performs at high efficiency with smaller capacity.

The Chicago Auto Show has come to a close but it definitely left behind a big splash in the auto industry. Kia took part in the largest auto show in the U.S. with 15 Kia models including the Trail’ster, the refreshed Rio, the all-new Sorento and the all-new Sedona (Grand Carnival). Among these outstanding models, the newly introduced Trail’ster, an electric AWD concept vehicle based on the Kia Soul, was easily the center of most attention. (Be Responsible And Keep Everyone Safe) Teen Pro-Active Driving School as the official vehicle and presenting sponsor. While driving brings a great deal of enjoyment and convenience, for young novice drivers, one errant turn could be fatal. Together with B.R..A.K.E.S., Kia is offering free lifesaving training with hands-on driving exercises to teens and their parents across the country.
Kia’s first all-electric zero emissions vehicle for global markets, Soul EV, has been named the Best Eco-Friendly Vehicle at the MotorWeek’s 34th annual Drivers’ Choice Awards. Each year MotorWeek produces a list of winners for different car categories after analyzing industry trends, new products, and technologies, to provide car buyers with a reliable source of information. MotorWeek editors noticed the Soul EV’s roomy interior and cargo space, on top of its best-in-class range, in picking it as the best eco-friendly vehicle.
