Optima e-catalogue app celebrates another win at the Red Dot Design Awards! August 16th, 2016


The Kia Optima is on a roll! After receiving the ‘Best of the Best’ distinction at the Red Dot awards for product design earlier this year, the e-catalogue iPad application for 2016 Optima has also been named a winner of the 2016 Red Dot award in the communication design category.




Quite a number of digital apps by Kia have garnered praise in the recent years for their sophisticated design and informative content. These recognitions received for digital content demonstrate Kia’s capacity to take design innovations to the next level.

With this prestigious new award added to our current list of accolades, Kia boasts eight international design awards, making us the brand with the most design awards for digital marketing apps in the automobile industry.



Kia Picanto (2012) and Optima (2013) were winners of the iF Design Award



Kia Rio (2012) was the winner of the Red Dot Design Award with ‘Best of the Best’ distinction. Sportage (2013), Carens (2013), Soul EV (2015), Sorento (2015) and Kia Optima (2016) have also been recognized with the Red Dot Design Award winners.


The app for the 2016 Optima features stunning visuals and key information on the features and functions of our prized midsize sedan. Users get a chance to explore the model interactively through a virtual reality film, 360 degree display and the vehicle customization tools to truly experience the Optima up close.
