Hello everyone.  Remember when we showed you before how the Soul’s sound speaker lamps work?  This time we would like to present to you a film that I took on how the Soul’s acclaimed rear display / ECM room mirror works.  This safety function was introduced to worldwide journalists during the Soul test drive and they highly evaluated its usability and design.

First, let me briefly explain how it works.  A 3.5 inch LCD is mounted inside the room mirror and it is connected to a 130 degree small camera mounted on the rear end of the Soul.  It gives drivers a clear view directly behind the car while moving backward. When the driver shifts the gear into “Reverse”, a display image automatically pops up on the left side of room mirror’s surface. The display disappears when the gear is shifted back to another mode.

Now here’s the clip. Enjoy.
