Three Kia models earn top scores in Chinese customer satisfaction survey November 11th, 2010
The China Association for Quality (CAQ) recently announced that three of Kia models in China ranked in first place in their respective categories after conducting a 2010 customer satisfaction survey.
The survey was conducted under the supervision of CAQ’s National Customer Committee to understand general consumer opinions on all of China’s industries, ranging from agriculture to automotive. The automobile satisfaction survey, known as CACSI (China Automobile Customer Satisfaction Index), was conducted in 32 major cities, evaluating the overall level of satisfaction with performance, fuel efficiency, quality and service. The result of the survey is highly respected and trusted by Chinese consumers, and is believed to be influential on car-buying decisions.
This year’s survey looked at a total of 102 models from 30 different makers and Kia’s Cerato (known as Spectra in some regions), in the ‘Mid Compact Sedan’, scored 80 out of 100, which was the highest score in the category, tied with Hyundai’s Avante XD.
Kia’s All-new Cerato (known as Forte in some regions) also ranked in first place in the ‘Luxury Compact Sedan’ category (C segment), scoring 82 points, while All-new Sportage earned the no. 1 rank in the ‘Mid SUV’ Category, with 82.
The test results showcase how products and quality are appreciated by customers and their high level of satisfaction has translated to an increase in market share in China. Kia is currently in a noticeable growth momentum in the Chinese market with strategic models that have better-than-ever quality and dependability. Dongfeng Yueda Kia reached 30,007 sold units in September 2010, reaching accumulated sales of 237,837 units from January to September 2010, which is a 51.6% increase from last year.
Kia will continue to introduce great products around the world and we’re proud of our teams that provide exceptional service to raise consumer expectations about our brand.
