We don’t want much… Just your blood! September 12th, 2008

It wasn’t an early Halloween prank or a strange initiative, in fact, it was an important community event organized by Kia Motors Syria with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent and Damascus University Blood Bank.

As Kia Motors is committed to contributing to the communities in which it serves, the local Kia team thought it would be a great initiative to encourage its After Sales Department to give in a way it has never done before.

We all know Kia’s After Sales teams provide excellent service, but they went beyond the call of duty this time in Syria!  After discovering the need for blood donations for these two organizations in the region which provide support in disaster procedures readiness, more than 110 Kia staff members contributed hundreds of liters of the necessary lifeline that will help save lives.

The caring staff from both the Syrian Arab Red Crescent and Damascus University Blood Bank Department kindly visited Kia’s main after sales facilities in Damascus to take donations.  For some donors, this was the first time to give blood and the staff had to coax them through their nervous laughs.  For the seasoned pros, they got to show how it was done!

Not only was it an exciting opportunity for Kia Motors Syria’s staff to contribute to the community, but also they had the chance to be interviewed by a number of media agents that attended the event.  There were four major magazines in attendance along with one TV and radio station that made them feel like celebrities, even if only for a few seconds.  Thank you for donating to such a worthy cause!
